Object Detail

Description
Flax fibre pounder, small in appearance. Shape is like a carver's mallet (ta). The butt is rounded & uncarved. An end view of the artifact shows it to be oval shaped. The surface finish is smooth & polished. There is a slight hollow on its striking area, or head, towards the handle.
