Object Detail
Description
a - Medium size book with front and back detachable hard covers that are blue with darker blue linen tape on inside edge. Inside the front cover is the owners name and address. There is no spine with cord threaded through the covers and the pages to hold it together. Inside the book there is a waterproof map as well as a booklet of star alignments.
B – Map has a plastic feel to it, looks to be made of a linen like material. Map is black with pink markings. One side of the map is of the Solomon Islands the other side is the East Caroline Island. Map has been folded into a small pocket size to fit inside the book.
c-The booklet insert is the same size as the book but only made from paper with staples holding it together. Was inserted at the back of the book.
