Description
Owned by Robert Hinton during World War Two. Match Holder= Deep red in colour. Screw lid has washer inside. Container has a striking pad on bottom. Ridges around outside. Inside, gauze attached to bottom. Writing on lid, ' Matches Safety, No.4 Mark 1, 120/1270'. 25 matches enclosed.
Ribbon of Matches= Long plastic strip with matches inserted 1/4 of the way along. matches held in plastic sleeve. Each match as a larger strike area then normal. 25 matches in total. Small tab of plastic sticks up in centre when rolled.
