Description
Duff type 2B stone adze. Stone worked smooth except at butt. Slight damage along leading edge. Widest at leading edge, tapering towards end. In side view the adze has a flat bototm and a curved top face. No obvious signs of hafting.
The toki was found by Paul Diedrichs during work on the foundations for the Waipa Council Buildings, Bank St, Te Awamutu, during the 1970s.
