Description
Model canoe with carved prow, carved head at forefront, and side stakes which are lashed to the hull. Taurapa (stern post) is missing. Built as an imaginary model, possibly by Piri Poutapu, master carver at the Turangawaewae school of carving during the 1930's and 1950's.
