Pot & pot hook

This is one of the history objects in our collection.

Object Detail

Iron three legged pot & pot hook. Sometimes called a "ko ahoa", said to be the Maori attempt to say "go ashore", this being the kind of pot taken by sailors to do their cooking on shore, but this derivation is discredited.
